Just Add Water Reviews

Wonderful to work with! I have been operating a large water feature for many years with a leak I just could not find. Will and Clay were able to locate and repair very quickly. I am very happy with their excellent service!

The folks at Just Add Water built our pond this spring. It was a backyard with nothing going on and they created a water masterpiece. We are beyond happy with the way it turned out. Connor and his crew made a magical place in our yard. The waterfall sounds are amazing. Soooo chill. We love the pond! I can’t recommend them highly enough. They are great to work with.

We had a hatch of koi. Gave 10 away and still have 20 growing an inch a month along with the original 5. Just Add Water did our first pond 12 yrs ago and I gave the owner, Chris, a call to see what they could do to expand it. He measured. Gave us a price. The work was perfect! Just a gorgeous waterfall-which I was told was completely redone after their first attempt at building. They could’ve walked away and still been paid the same, but he made it BETTER because he cared. All work was done in three days and we couldn’t be happier. And neither can our koi family.

Extremely happy with our pond. Guys are super easy to work with. Highly informative. They build the pond and tell you what to do with it. Very reasonable pricing too I’d for sure recommend.

Chris, Connor and his team recently put a pond in our backyard. They did a wonderful job and we love our pond. Chris was very responsive and answered all our questions.

Just Add Water has been an incredible service. We count on them to take care of our water feature; keeping it clean and running and beautiful. They have done a wonderful job in the two years we have had them. We highly recommend them.

Highly recommend! We used Just Add Water for our spring clean-out. They made recommendations - ideas we had not thought of - and took our pond "to the next level". They also found and repaired a water leak we had in our waterfall. Very professional and knowledgeable - outstanding customer service!

Our pond looks wonderful! Everyone, all the way up to the owner, are a pleasure to work with.

Just Add Water has assisted me with my pond for several years and just rebuilt it. They are amazing. So knowledgeable and very responsive re: all things water related. Highly recommend!

Contacted Just Add Water after my previous koi pond company failed to show this summer. On short notice they drove 2+ hours and and thoroughly cleaned my 2,900+ gallon pond. Just Add Water's crew was knowledgable, professional and did amazing work from start to finish. I highly recommend Just Add Water!

Just Add Water has cleaned out our Pond the last 2 springs and last fall covered with a net to keep leaves out. They’ve done a great job each time. Had a leak in the pond where we were losing 160 gal. Per day. Clay came and found where it had pulled the liner down around the edge of the stream next to an electrical plug in post. Had Just Add Water built the pond and stream instead of Bernie from Wellsburg we would not have had the problem. I would highly recommend anyone planning on building contact this company and for all your pond needs. Thank you Will, Clay, all you guys at Just Add Water!

Very responsive, pleasant, efficient, and professional staff

Love our clean pond! Just Add Water did an amazing transformation of our pond from fall to spring. So clean I can see the rocks at the bottom and count all the fish. Great service! And the fish are so happy!

Every aspect of our water feature remodel was fantastic! They exceeded our expectations in every way. From the beginning to the end they were available to promptly respond to my questions and further communicate plans with me.

I first met Just Add Water when they came out to fix a water feather installed by someone else that was a disaster after just a few years. I loved what they did so much that I wanted to upgrade to a larger feature. This was my second time working with this company.

Chris personally came out to my property several times to answer more questions and show me, on site, when I was trying to decide what to do. Connor is a visionary! Creating something that is honestly even better than I imagined. They showed up when they said they would, and worked hard and long days to get my feature put together.

They also consistently did "extra" things that made working with them such a joy. For example, one day I came home as they were wrapping up for the day and they were sweeping the driveway! Yes, they were sweeping the driveway!! I've never had a construction/landscape company do that before. One Friday when they were leaving the feature running all weekend to check for water levels, Connor moved my favorite seat back to the spot I usually sit to enjoy the feature. He must have been listening when I told Chris and the crew about it during the beginning "walk through" because we had already moved all the furniture out of the way for the project. I was thrilled to be able to sit there over the weekend and enjoy the feature because of Connor's thoughtfulness. I also mentioned I loved the moss growing on my patio steps and they harvested moss for several places on the large rocks within my feature.

I really could go on and on but this review is getting very long. As someone who has had several areas within my home and outside my home remodeled, adding patios, landscape etc, this company/crew is the best group of people I have EVER worked with. They are truly the best in the water feature business! We are lucky to have them here in Iowa.

We had a leak in our Koi pond so Just Add Water came and did a complete remodel of our waterfalls and landscape. Added lights and it is now our absolute favorite sitting place. We enjoy it in the winter from our all seasons sun room and patio in the spring summer. Amazing work in three days!!!!

The best in town at setting pumps in the spring and removing in the fall…cleaning debris away and making sure everything is sealed for no leakage…..very great customer service all around and in the end our grand children are happy customers floating boats and wading in our water feature. Makes them and gma and gpa happy. Not sure about the kids parents ….but in the rest of us are happy for the fun had by all….

We purchased new home in the country that had a home-made fish pond by the back patio. We called in Just Add Water to rebuild and expand the pond to house koi. We’ve been enjoying a great spot for 3 yrs now. We signed up for maintenance twice a year and they always send highly skilled pond specialists who take especially good care of our koi and ensure water quality is the best for their health. The products they provide to keep our pond operating at optimal level are varied and reasonably priced. They are highly responsive when we call with mechanical issues and they have problem solved within a few days. We are so pleased with services provided by Just Add Water and we highly recommend you check them out.

This company is outstanding! They have repaired my existing pond a few times and this year they will demo my old pond and make it brand new! Watch for pics of the transformation in the coming weeks!

Just Add Water is top notch! Knowledge of rock placement and water flow is really an art form. Very attentive to detail and questions answered quickly and completely.

There is no better company in the business to build or maintain your water feature…NO ONE! Will and the JAW Team eat up their competition with high-quality service, responsiveness and (complete) client focus activities. Make the right (only decision)…The Just Add Water Team!

Chris and his team have been great in developing our pond and maintaining it. The suggested changes greatly increased our enjoyment of our feature. Our patio has become our favorite place to relax, have neighbors visit and relax.

Just Add Water just left. This team was amazing. The pond was a big spring clean out and they stayed with it. The pond feature looks like it is new.

They let me ask lots of questions and took extra time to make sure I understood everything. You could not get a better pond team. They are experienced, professional and believe in customer care.

Thank you and will enjoy having them on my team for pond care.

Just Add Water installed a water feature in our school courtyard that we utilize as an outdoor classroom in 2020. The ecosystem they created is beautiful and has added an enjoyable experience for staff and students when participating in outdoor classroom lessons. During installation and yearly routine services, Chris and his staff not only been professional, but have even spent time answering questions that our students may have about the pond or the animals that live in it. We couldn't be happier with the quality of our finished water feature or the service that Just Add Water provides us.

Alex came today and performed our fall cleaning. After draining the pond he got right in and pressure sprayed all the stone... it was just what it needed!

Alex also discovered our chemical doser was leaking chemical onto the ground and not going into the pond!

I am grateful for his knowledge and professionalism!

Will and his team are amazing, they have helped me with everything from a complete clean out to a issue with my waterfall, I highly recommend them for all of your pond needs.

I don’t live nearby and I really needed some help and advice on a pond I have been building. I took a chance and give them a call and Chris responded right away and was so nice. He helped talk me thru the problem and offered his advice which is what I needed. It was so nice to talk with someone who understands ponds. The help he gave me from a far made such a huge difference and got me motivated and back on track to finishing my pond! I just really appreciate the help and the quick response!

This was our first experience with Just Add Water to clean our pond that was overdue for a deep clean. Communication was very responsive and friendly. The crew arrived on time, were organized, very friendly and answered my gazillion questions. They took exquisite care of our 15 yo Koi. The pond is perfectly clear with great water flow

I had to leave my beloved “Just Add Water” pond in Waukee, moving out of state 6 months ago. I’ve just had my third pond and second aquascape pond completed, giving me enough experience to shout from the rooftops that NOBODY is quite like this company and crew. I don’t believe there’s a better pond crew of wonderful, knowledgeable workers who are also quality human beings, passionate about their jobs and strongly committed to their clients. Not only did they build me a beautiful ecosystem pond, wetland and waterfall, but their customer service stands well above others. If I ever had a problem, they sent someone out, no questions asked. If I had a concern, they listened with kindness, always putting my concerns first. If they ever thought I was crazy, they never let it show, lol. They show up with smiles on their faces and it was always a pleasure doing business with each of them. There is nobody I’d recommend more highly for any of your water feature needs, and I know this with even more certainty now that I’m missing them more than ever!

I have been using this company for over 5 years. They go above and beyond. There were a couple times they came to my rescue when I needed help.

Can’t say enough about how much my pond means to me. Such joy in the heartland to have running water and koi fish and lily pads that the frogs hang out on in the summer. Ask for Will to build your pond. He won’t steer you wrong. And Clay keeps things running and cleaned out.

We're going on a 5 year relationship with Chris and his crew from Just Add Water. They are extremely knowledgeable, and take care in the work that they do. They are super responsive whenever something goes awry, and that is extremely comforting. Highly recommend their maintenance packages with either month/biweekly/weekly visits. The full maintenance approach completely changed our lives!

As contractors, we have been working with Just Add Water for close to 20 years. They are very knowledgeable and professional. They have put features in at our business for us to show our clients how a water feature can enhance their outdoor spaces. I have also had them install a feature at my personal home while going thru a medical issue. Was and still is very therapeutic to sit and listen to the waterfall and watch our fish.

We had Just Add Water do a spring clean out of an existing pond last spring. We were so happy with the service that we hired them to come back later last summer and more than double our pond size, add a second waterfall, and an intake bay. Chris and the whole team are excellent listeners, working with us closely from planning through completion. We couldn't be happier with the craftsmanship or the results. Hard working team that knows their stuff.

I went through several parties (without success, and with great frustration) when handling my existing pond and in the end made the decision to just have the pond completely redone by Chris at Just Add Water. Couldn't be happier - the pond is amazing and relaxing, the maintenance is easy through the team there, and nothing but compliments from everyone on my back yard. If you want someone who KNOWS ponds, knows how an ecosystem for a water feature needs to be set up so you can just enjoy it, then Just Add Water is who you need.

Just add water is an understatment when it comes to building backyard water features! Chris is a water master who makes a beautiful backyard look easy! You would do well to have these guys build your dream oasis or give you solid advice to try it yourself.

We have had Chris and the Just Add Water crew servicing and doing rebuilds on our water feature for several years. Their work is impeccable and the feature is so amazing! Any time I call with a need, they are here to help me or communicate back to me within a day. We recommend anyone with a water feature or anyone considering one, to contact Just Add Water. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Jan and I were one of Just Add Waters first customers! After enjoying the pond for a few years, we decided to have another put in. We love just sitting by the ponds and relaxing. We enjoy seeing the wildlife visit especially the ducks each spring. Just Add Water provides all the maintenance we need, and the service is great. If we have a problem, they respond immediately. The team is like family. Gary & Jan Higbee

Great experiences and service for several years. Especially good at designing for different spaces and looks.

Our pond less waterfall feature is amazing and adds so much to our backyard space! The guys are awesome and are so professional.

This is the BEST business to hire for help with your residential pond/waterfall. They are well worth what they charge and they fix it right the first time instead of wasting time and money having someone come back multiple times; I cannot say enough about their professionalism and quality work. William fixed a problem that had been plaguing us for months in less than an hour by thoroughly examining the waterfall and making the adjustments only a professional would have known to do. I highly recommend Just Add Water, they are great people.

We were so impressed with Will’s skill and persistence in resolving our pond leak problem, as well as with his obvious enthusiasm for this work. He and Clay also did a great job cleaning the pond (and sparing me this annual onerous task!). Just Add Water will be our first call for any future pond-related needs…and we’ll happily provide references.

I’ve worked with Just Add Water for two water features. They have always been good listeners and eager to get the work up to my specs. The Just Add Water Team are very creative and love what they do! They take on any challenge, find a solution and get it done! If you are looking for a professional approach to beautify your yard, I highly recommend Chris, Will and their team for the project!

All I can say is WOW! This company is comprised of a group of professional gentleman who care about what they do. From the first call to the final walk through, we couldn't have been more pleased. The end result is far better than what we could have imagined. If you're looking for a quality company to design and care for your water feature in Iowa, call Just Add Water.

Will at Just Add Water came up to Jefferson and talked with us twice about placing a pondless water feature in our gardens. He was very professional and gave us many good ideas.

The crew & office staff at Just Add Water make the perfect team to create a water feature that enhances your life. If you are just looking for advice, or if you need repairs to an existing water feature, or if you want something totally new for your landscape... Just Add Water is the place to go. They removed our old pond and invented a beautiful fresh look with a pondless system of 3 waterfalls. We're very pleased and truly impressed with their artistry and sincere demeanor. Give them a chance. You'll be glad you did!

We had a little difficulty getting the job done due to the unusually wet weather. Will made sure that the job was done to our specifications . Will made sure he understood exactly how we wanted the repairs to our pond to be completed. Very professional. We were very pleased with the end result.

After touring numerous Just Add Water ponds and water features, it is quite apparent they are experts in their field. Their products are spectacular and they genuinely care about their customers' experience.

We are thankful for our beautiful pondless waterfall! While dealing with on going health issues, it has provided serenity and relaxation to our days.

We hired Just Add Water to create a waterfall feature in our backyard. What we didn’t expect was the overwhelming beauty that happened when they were finished! Chris came to our house on a Sunday, no less, to plan our design, and his crew worked on a Saturday after a long week to do our project. Amazing, stunning, and much more than we ever dreamed! Professional, and over the top design, you won’t be disappointed!!
