Meet Chris Thompson
Hi! I’m Chris, owner of Just Add Water. Bringing water elements to people’s yards has always been a passion of mine. When I lived in Michigan, I was used to having the wonderful effects of water around me. When I moved to Iowa, I wanted that same feeling in my new home. I had a vision for my yard, and I stopped at nothing to get it.
Adding that water feature to my daily life has been a challenge and a rush I’ll never forget. From there, it expanded into the business that you see today. Over the years, I assembled an outstanding team that is as passionate and dedicated as I am. We take great pride in what we do, and we always deliver quality results that make our customers happy. Just Add Water has been a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC) in Iowa since 2006. What does this mean? Well, as a CAC, Just Add Water is one of the most qualified and informed pond builders in the water garden industry. We are required to attend continual training and education seminars. At Just Add Water, we make it a top priority to maintain a record of outstanding work, dedicated customer service, and support.
Chris Thompson
Chris started Just Add Water in 2004 and has worked to create a brand that people love to be a part of. In 2006 he became a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC) and is now the only Master Certified Aquascape Contractor in Iowa. Having over 17 years experience with designing, building, and owning water features, his passion for the work continues to grow.
Now focusing on sales, business management, and client interaction, Chris loves working with clients in the sales process to help create their dream feature.
Will Ries
Will is our main foreman. He has a background in horticulture and landscape design pairing with his over 8+ years working with Chris at Just Add Water. Will works with the crew to bring knowledge and expertise to each build.
Always striving to grow and exceed the expectations, Will is always pushing himself and the crew to try new designs. Together they aim to exceed customer expectations and create the best possible feature and build experience for each client.
