Child Safe Stream with waterfalls

An Aquascape Pondless Waterfall can fit in tight spots such as in a small landscape bed near the front door. The child safe stream and waterfalls greet guests and simply disappear at the end of the water feature. This Aquascape Pondless Waterfall was built in the spring of 2011 by Just Add Water in Des Moines, Iowa.

s, the price of an Aquascape Pondless Waterfall will be less than a pond, because there is less labor involved, as well as less rock and materials. Operating costs are also less because you are not dealing with an established ecosystem. It is not necessary to run the pump 24/7.

Dog playing in waterfalls

“Speedy” cools off in her pondless waterfall after a hard afternoon of chasing tennis balls and “causing a ruckus” at Kidman Tree Farm in Polk City, Iowa. Not only is the disappearing stream child safe, it is also perfect for people with pets. When Speedy is not enjoying the “chasing waterfalls”, she lives with Chris Thompson, owner of Just Add Water.

Complete System… It might be difficult to imagine waterfalls and streams without a pond. Where does the water go after is spills over the waterfalls? An Aquascape Pondless Waterfall is constructed much like a regular pond. The hole is dug and then lined.  Aquabloxs are installed, rock and gravel are set to build the waterfalls and stream, and then the system is filled with water. When the pump is turned on, water is then circulated from beneath the rocks and gravel by the pump that sits on the bottom of the basin inside an Aquascpae Snorkel Vault. Plumbing runs from the pump up to an Aquascape BioFalls Filter or Spillway. From there, it spills into the overflowing waterfalls and streams making it’s way back to the reservoir. Since the water level never pools above the level of the rock and gravel, it gives the appearance of waterfalls without a pond.  The “pond” is there, but it is not visible.

Garden with a Scale Train Layout and waterfalls

This Aquascape pondless waterfall system serves as the stream system for the Garden Scale Train Layout in a healing garden in Blair, Nebraska. Just AWater built these waterfalls in the spring of 2010.
